Millennium Bridge is located between Southwark Bridge (downstream) and Blackfriars Bridge (upstream), linking Bankside with the City.
The south end of the bridge is near the New Globe Theatre and Tate Modern, and the north end is near St Paul's Cathedral.
Millennium Bridge is London's newest foot crossing. The construction of this 325m - long bridge started in 1998. It was opened and then closed within two days in 2000 due to some serious vibrations. The bridge was re–opened in 2002.
