Simply the best!

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in!

There's a spacious lobby with comfortable armchairs and a bar.

All the rooms have a key card access. They are very clean, with TV and telephone. It's needless to say that the beds are comfortable. There are different amenities in the bathroom: a hair dryer, soap, shampoo, shower cap, slippers, sewing kit, etc.

Unique Qualities: Buffet breakfast, with who-knows-how-much delicious food, is served at the top floor with the stunning view over the Acropolis and the rest of the city. It's just amazing!

Eco-houses

Our group spent 3 nights here in May 2014. While some were staying in wooden bungalows, the others were in hostel rooms and villa apartments. All the rooms had a bathroom with a shower and toilet, fridge and TV.

The meals at the restaurant were warm and tasty.

Unique Qualities: The eco-houses are surrounded by hills, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet. If you like, you can also use a sauna, pool (indoor or outdoor) or fitness equipment. There's also a barbeque area.

Right in the centre!

Ambasador
The hotel, founded in 1937, declared monument of architecture, has 12 floors. Each room has a bathroom, cable TV, mini-bar (empty), phone, central heating (our room, among few, was pretty cold, but at least we had hot water in the bathroom).

The restaurant's on the 1st floor and is quite small for such hotel. And the service's pretty slow. A woman from our group wanted to try some soup but there wasn't any, so she asked for some chips and had to wait for almost an hour! But the breakfast (Swedish buffet) was really good.

Unique Qualities: The hotel's very close to both Revolution Sq and University Sq, only 20 minutes away from the Bucharest International Airport and 10 minutes from the main Railway Station 'Gara de Nord'

The brochure says that there are facilities like:
a room
-room service
-fitness room
-sauna
-hairdresser/manicure/pedicure
-conference rooms
-parking
-laundry
-internet access
-luggage room
-safe

Feel free to check that out!

Dorms

If you're looking for a cheap accommodation and a place to make new friends, dorms are a perfect choice.

In August 2006, I booked a bed in a 6-bed female dorm at Hostel 639 via the Internet. I paid 72 GBP for 7 days (breakfast included), which was pretty cheap at that time. As far as I remember, there was a shower and a basin in the room and a shared bathroom and a kitchen down the corridor.

As for the facilities, there's a coffee shop with computers, TV and phones, a bar, a games room and a restaurant, where you can have continental breakfast (bread, jam, cereal, milk, tea and the things like that), lunch or dinner.

The Famous Hotel

The Hilton Hotel will definitely catch your attention as soon as you get to Green Square. This imposing building from the late 19th century dominates the right side of the square.

The building used to be the 'Grand Bazar', 1 of the leading Belgian department stores.

Behind it, if you're into shopping, you'll find a pleasant and spacious covered shopping gallery.

A step from the sea

The Dana Beach Hotel is a huge complex of modern buildings with a beautiful park just a step from the sea.

This is the hotel I passed by on my way to the beach. I also had some time to explore its grounds.

Unique Qualities: This hotel has its own beach where you can play sports or take part in different organized activities.

It's very good for children, too. There's the Giant chessboard with giant figures, mini golf...

Directions: the outskirts of Hurghada

Paradise on Earth

The name '1001 night' really fits it, because the whole complex, with the hotel, is just like Aladdin's palace, with its colourful domes, huge gates, marble paths and all.

All the rooms have a balcony, sat TV, phone, bathroom and a minibar.

Everything's very clean, and you can always see cleaners (male, by the way) tidying and dusting around.

The service's great and everyone's always willing to please you.

Unique Qualities: This is a 4-star-hotel with its own private beach (20min far if you go on foot or 5min if you go by bus), swimming pools, restaurants, sauna...

It's also perfect for children. There's a playground and a small zoo, and, what's more, friendly guards stand in front of the main gate so you can feel really safe.

Montevista Cotursa

This is a 3-star hotel, a few minutes far from the beach. It looks very classy, with marble everywhere. The lobby's spacious and light and next to the reception desk you can find brochures of anything in or near Lloret you might visit during your stay.

The service's OK, although we had to wait for our keys a little bit longer than we expected.
the hotel card

All the rooms have TVs and balconies.

And there's a restaurant, where you can choose from a great variety of food. Breakfast's from 8.00 to 10.00, and dinner's from 19.00 to 21.30.
